Flagship findings and recommendations of the IDRC funded 12 projects in 17 countries across Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, and South and Southeast Asia under the Gender Equality in a Low Carbon World (GLOW) programme has been published here. This report summarizes learning from GLOW on common challenges and promising solutions for advancing women’s empowerment in the transitions in sectors focusing principally on agriculture and agroforestry, biocircular economies, eco-tourism and the blue economy.
In Nepal, Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) led the project Co-producing a shock resilient business ecosystem for women-led enterprises in Nepal. The project aimed to explore, understand, and co-produce knowledge through a participatory process of identifying problems, and co-designing and implementing interventions for women’s economic empowerment in the post-pandemic rural agrarian context of Nepal.
